the many hazards within the home or facility that produce carbon
monoxide as well as the signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide

hours of training that consists of PowerPoint lectures, classroom
discussions & group interaction,
that identifies the many hazards within the home or facility that
produce carbon monoxide, how to meter the
building to check for CO readings, Emergency Personnel Safety on a
CO response, as well as the signs and symptoms of carbon monoxide
poisoning, and how to involve EMS and the utility company with
this type of response.

DAYCARE CENTER & NURSERY SAFETY PROGRAM

Description:
This course is designed
for Daycare Center & Nursery personnel that are charged with the
responsibility of caring for children and infants other than their
own in case of a fire or other emergency within the facility. The
topics covered in this course are Carbon Monoxide Safety, Fire
Extinguishers, Household Hazardous Materials, an overview of Fire
Alarms & Sprinklers,
Evacuation Procedures,
Notifications, Employee and occupant Accountability, Fire Drills,
Interacting with
Emergency Personnel, CPR/AED.
Note: This
course includes the hands-on training for Fire Extinguishers and
the CPR/AED training includes Adult, Child & Infant CPR/AED.
Training can be done on site, however,
there will be
a separate charge for the Live Burn Permit necessary for the Fire
Extinguisher hands-on training.

Description:
This program
consists of both lecture and practical applications. Students will
be taught about fire behavior and the different classes of fires and
the correct fire extinguishers to use and how and
when to use them
as well. Each student will also use an extinguisher during the
practical session
of this
training.
PREREQUISITE: NONE
NOTE: LIVE
BURN PERMIT FEES MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE MUNICIPALITY WHICH NJFSC LLC
WILL OBTAIN FROM THE LOCAL FIRE PREVENTION OFFICE. THESE FEES WILL
BE INCLUDED IN THE INVOICE FOR THE COURSE.

FIRE SAFETY FOR HOTEL/MOTEL STAFF

Description:
This course is designed
to inform all hotel/motel staff of the dangers and hazards they
should be aware of within their facility, including an overview of
fire extinguisher training. This course is also designed to make the
hotel/motel staff aware and reinforces their duties in case of an
emergency within their facility as defined by the their company’s
Emergency Operation Plan for that facility.
NOTE: The Fire
Extinguisher training provided within this course is strictly an
overview of fire extinguishers and does not meet the requirements
under NFPA 10 or OSHA regulations for Annual Fire Extinguisher
Training. A complete Fire Extinguisher Training course that meets
NFPA 10 Standards and OSHA Regulations is available through NJFSC
LLC.

Course Description:
Places of Worship come in many types: Churches, Synagogues, Temples,
Mosques, & so on, they
also come in various forms, shapes, and size buildings. But
all exist to serve the Creator and help people. For these
reasons the physical safety, as well as the spiritual welfare of
the people that
they minister to is of vital importance to the leadership of these
religious organizations.
For example,
evacuating a Sanctuary offers some unique challenges for those in
charge!
Insuring the
orderly, safe evacuations of parents with children in attendance
with them or those in Children’s Programs in other area of the
building and assisting elderly and disabled individuals is a
tremendous responsibility.
This program is designed to address the physical safety aspect in
Houses of Worship, in the event
of a fire or other emergency situations. This program is
intended to equip the religious leaders to prepare fire and safety
plans and have trained staff in place to protect their
congregations in any emergency situation.

Course Description:
Group homes, residential institutions for children, youth, people
with various disabilities, and the elderly would be well served by
utilizing the resources of our Residential Fire Safety Program.
Managers and Staff Members, alike, will benefit by receiving this
vital training to learn how to protect their residents from the
ravages of fire or other emergency situations.
Residential Programs, while similar, differ according to the needs
of their unique populations. The NFPA studies show that the
very young, the elderly and those with physical, mental, and
emotional disabilities are at greater risk for being injured or
killed in a fire than the general population. This program was
created to address these issues.
This program is
designed to prepare managers, staff, and residents in how to develop
and maintain fire safety plans to protect everyone who lives or
works in these programs.
